Trailhead Psychotherapy is sprouting out of Jen Mossefin Therapy, which has been thriving in Durham since 2019. This small private practice seeks to balance the needs of the community with the needs for therapists to be human. This organization is focused on supporting and developing EMDR clinicians. There are a lot of ways to help, and this is our chosen path.

Trailhead is just starting, and seeking candidates who meet the following criteria:
We are hiring new therapists who are passionate about treating trauma, and are either already trained in EMDR, or are interested in learning. Trailhead will fund Basic EMDR Training for the right fit.

Master’s level, licensed mental health clinicians (LMFT, LCSW, LCMHC, etc), with licensure in good standing, to practice mental health therapy in Durham or via telehealth in North Carolina.

We welcome Associate licensed clinicians!

Ability to conduct 18-25 sessions per week and carry a caseload of 23-30 clients total

Adherence to the professional code of ethics of their license

Demonstrate knowledge and skill the following areas: diagnostic interviewing, rapport building, creation of treatment plans, implementation of interventions appropriate to goals, maintaining professional boundaries, and completing clinical documentation

Experience and/or training in trauma-informed care

Commitment to socially progressive approaches to mental health care, including an understanding of systemic oppression, cultural trauma, and intersectionality

Ability to conduct in-person therapy sessions at our office in Durham, and/or have access to a confidential, private workspace for telehealth

What to expect out of employment:
W-2 employment with a small mental health practice

Pay at $52,000- 72,000/ year, working 25-30 hours a week

Paid for time in staff meetings

Funds to support continuing education

Free, in-house Clinical Supervision for LCSWAs and LCASAs (reimbursement for all or a portion of outside supervision)

10 paid days off (sick, vacation, holidays)

Increasing number of PTO days per year of employment

Benefits include 50% of healthcare paid for after 60 days, with an increase per year of employment.

Full vision and dental coverage after 60 days

Coverage under company professional liability insurance for any therapeutic services offered through Trailhead Psychotherapy.

Credentialing with Aetna, United, Cigna and soon Blue Cross Blue Shield Commercial Plans under Trailhead Psychotherapy’s Type 2 NPI
