Are you ready to impact the community and change lives in Wake County? We are currently seeking a Guest Service Coordinator to join our South Wilmington Street team!

The Guest Services Coordinator is an intermediary between the Intake Services Team Leader and the Shift Supervisors. This position serves as a shift supervisor on designated or floating shifts as well as assisting the Team Leader with intake operations. The Lead Shift Supervisor assists Shift Supervisors as needed with personnel issues and staff coaching, supervises facility operations in absence of Team Leader and provides communicate with the Team Leader and/or Administrator as necessary in emergencies or when deviation from standard procedures is needed.

Essential Functions;

~Supervise 5 Shift Supervisors (1 on duty at all times), provide clinical supervision to staff during formal weekly supervision meetings, provide supervision to Intake Services team members and oversight of building and operations
~Interview, hire, and train new staff including submit timely paperwork for new hires and create/implement New Hire Plans prior to new staff beginning work Provide coaching to staff regarding performance by conducting weekly Shift Supervisor meetings and conduct shift exchange meetings at beginning and end of each shift
~Develop annual work plans, Staff Development Plans, and performance review

Wake County Department of Housing Affordability and Community Revitalization goal is to ensure that quality affordable housing is available and accessible for all Wake County residents. As the population and economy continue to grow in Wake County, the need for affordable housing development and preservation increases. Not only do more units of affordable housing need to be built, housing services must be provided to support families and individuals to access or maintain safe, decent, affordable housing. Affordable housing is also critical to preserving Wake County’s economic competitiveness by offering housing for workers at all income levels, supporting housing stability and economic opportunity for its residents, and furthering Wake County’s commitment to healthy and inclusive growth. The Department’s programs include: Community Revitalization, Development Financing, Homeless and Prevention Services, Emergency Shelter, Support Services and Permanent Supportive Housing. The South Wilmington Street Center (SWSC) offers an array of support services to the homeless citizens of Wake County. The center has 234 beds that are utilized 365 days a year to assist homeless adult males in the community.

The Basics (Required Education and Experience)
~Bachelor’s degree
~Three years of job-related experience
~Equivalent education and experience are accepted

Beyond the Basics (Preferred Education and Experience)
~Degree in Social Work
~Three (3) years of supervisory experience
~Experience working with homeless population
~Experience working in 24 hour facility
~Proficient in Microsoft Word; familiar with Excel
