RA Position Descriptions

The Re-Envisioning Health and Justice Lab — a rapidly growing interdisciplinary team nested within CHER and led by Dr. Lauren Brinkley-Rubinstein — is seeking a Graduate Research Assistant to join the SPECS Research team. The SPECS study is multi-site study in North Carolina, Florida, and Kentucky, focusing on HIV prevention and health care access among persons leaving incarceration.

This position will support the Principal Investigator and broader research team with ongoing recruitment efforts, quantitative and qualitative data collection activities, and — as interested — data analyses.

As part of our lab’s mission of prioritizing professional development, the graduate research assistant will have meaningful opportunities to contribute to and lead the development of scholarly products (e.g., manuscripts, posters, and presentations).

Candidates with experience or expressed interested in working with persons affected by the criminal legal system are preferred.

Hours & Compensation
• Ideal start date: September 7, 2021
• $20.00/ hour
• 10- 24 hours per week (based on GRA’s availability)
