Are you a mental health professional looking for an opportunity to make a difference in today’s youth and do so while being a part of an amazing team?

AMIkids has served over 140,000 kids and their families since 1969. Being part of the AMIkids team means that you are helping youth to realize their full potential and become a valuable part of their community. Our team members are essential to the success of our youth and our program culture is essential to supporting our team members.

What you will be doing:
The FFT Therapist role provides community-based intensive counseling services to youth on probation and their families utilizing the Functional Family Therapy (FFT) Model.

To meet the needs of our families we meet them “where they are”. For our team members, this does mean we may work early mornings, late evenings, and/or weekends sometimes, working within various locations (i.e. family homes, libraries, parks, Juvenile Justice offices, etc.). A work-life balance is essential for our team members so we do provide “flex time” for clinicians to offset working these hours, as well as a hybrid modality of community/office/home-based work.

Travel is a requirement in that we drive to families’ homes, and meet with Juvenile Court Counselors, and community-based partners.

While the office is in Durham the central team covers multiple counties in the center of the State. We currently are currently looking for a bi-lingual team member for this team; however, do have traditional and bi-lingual opportunities in other parts of the State.

For this position you would need the following:
• Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Mental Health Counseling, or related Human Services field,
• Ability to meet professional standards, licensure/certification, and/or contract requirements,

• Ability to travel

We are looking for individuals with the following type of experience/licensure:
