Race-based traumatic stress: Broadening your toolkit to serve diverse clients

In this course, Alicia Freeman, MS, LCMHC, LCAS-A and Sherrá Watkins, Ph.D., LCMHC-S, LCAS will provide insight into how to work more effectively with clients from groups who have a legacy of harm by the mainstream medical system and continue to experience racism. They will introduce tools that can be incorporated into clinical practice to help assess the effects of racism on people’s experiences.

This event is livestream only.

Clinical Lecture Series trainings are for students, professionals, and community members interested in therapeutic practices that are anti-oppressive, intersectional, and centered on self-determination. 

Free of charge for UNC School of Social Work students, faculty, staff, and field instructors. 2 CE for behavioral health clinicians including social workers, psychiatrists, and counselors.

Scholarships available upon request.
