Evidence-based approaches to support emerging adulthood

In this workshop, Becca Edwards-Powell, LCSW provides an approach that targets anxiety-related avoidance and mood-dependent behaviors that accompany and reinforce young adults’ sense of stuckness. She describes a protocol that draws from evidence-based approaches to bolster motivation, goal setting, and communication skills and provide guidance and practices for family members.

Clinical Lecture Series trainings are for students, professionals, and community members interested in therapeutic practices that are anti-oppressive, intersectional, and centered on self-determination.

Free of charge for UNC School of Social Work students, faculty, staff, and field instructors. 2 CE for behavioral health clinicians including social workers, psychiatrists, and counselors.

Scholarships available upon request.
