On Monday, April 14, the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Social Work will host the fourth annual Legacy Speakers Series at the School’s Tate-Turner-Kuralt Building, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Join the UNC School of Social Work for our 4th annual Legacy Speakers Series. This year’s event, “Confronting Poverty: Research, Reality, and Reform,” focuses on addressing poverty in the United States and will feature national experts and a pair of community organizations that work across North Carolina. Headlining the event are Princeton University’s Maurice P. During Professor of Sociology Matthew Desmond and University of California, Berkeley School of Social Welfare Associate Professor Tina Sacks.
CE: Participants will receive a certificate for 6 CE credit hours
Cost: Free of charge
The main event of the Legacy Series will be held in person and live streamed. In person participation will be held at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Social Work at the School’s Tate-Turner-Kuralt Building, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
