Howard becomes New York Academy of Medicine Fellow

Matthew Howard was just elected as a member and Fellow of the New York Academy of Medicine.

The NYAM advances the health of people in cities. An independent organization since 1847, it addresses the health challenges facing the world’s urban populations through interdisciplinary approaches to policy leadership, education, community engagement and innovative research.

Howard’s research specialty is adolescent inhalant abuse. He is the Frank A. Daniels Distinguished Professor for Human Services Policy Information at the UNC School of Social Work.
