Research professor and Project NO REST director Dean Duncan was featured in the Charlotte Post article, “Modern-day slavery in the shadows, and plain sight in North Carolina; Human trafficking grows across Tar Heel State.” Project NO REST was also featured in the Asheboro Courier Tribune article, “On human trafficking, ‘We’ve got to wake the people up.‘”

Clinical associate professor Sarah Verbiest was among several experts interviewed by NPR affiliate WFAE’s Charlotte Talks. The radio broadcast focused on recent media investigations into maternal mortality and why so many mothers in the United States are dying in childbirth.
