Alumni briefs: Woodside, MSW ’03; Swick, ’07; Cialdini, MSW ’17; Holsten, MSW ’14; Kornegay, MSW ’72

Summer Woodside, MSW ’03, filed for a second term with the Scotland County Board of Education. Woodside, who currently serves as chair of the board, is an assistant professor of social work at the University of North Carolina at Pembroke.

Danielle Swick, Ph.D. ’07, received promotion to the rank of associate professor with permanent tenure at UNC-Greensboro, Department of Social Work.

Tess Cialdini, MSW ’17, and Marissa Holsten, MSW ’14, were both featured in a recent article in The Indy about Carolina Outreach’s innovative approach to mental health care. Cialdini is a manager with Carolina Outreach and Holsten is director of the program’s Behavioral Health Urgent Care.

Samuel Kornegay, MSW ’72, of Charlotte, died on March 21, 2018.
