North Carolina Health News recently published a series of articles on guardianship in North Carolina that included interviews with several faculty with the School of Social Work and the Jordan Institute for Families. Clinical assistant professor Linda Kendall Fields was featured in the article, “Guardianship Reform on Tap in the North Carolina Legislature,” while Tamara Norris, director of the Family Support Program, was quoted in the article, “Lack of Rural Specialists Means Hours in the Car for One Family.”

Professor Sheryl Zimmerman was interviewed for the article, “A Better Kind of Nursing Home,” which was published in the New York Times.

Research professor and Project NO REST director Dean Duncan was quoted in the Fayetteville Observer’s article, “Human Traffickers Prey on Vulnerable Children, Investigators Say.
