Alumni briefs: Trent, MSW ’80; Pfeifer, MSW ’98

Jim Trent, MSW ’80,  has published “Inventing the Feeble Mind: A History of Intellectual Disability in the United States (Oxford UP, 2016).” Trent is a visiting scholar at the Heller School at Brandeis University.

Tami Pfeifer, MSW ’98, was featured as WCHL’s  “Hometown Hero” for her work with the nonprofit Boomerang program, which works with youth suspended from school to bounce back from challenges and achieve their full potential. Pfeifer serves as the program’s director.
