MSW student Chase Holleman, who is working this year as a program coordinator with Caring Services Inc., was featured in articles with Time Warner Cable News and the High Point Enterprise, and in a broadcast interview with VFMY-News  about the ongoing problem with heroin and opioid overdoses in North Carolina.

MSW student Kaleia Martin and Adjunct Instructor Allison De Marco co-authored an op-ed column about next steps for addressing racial inequities in the Raleigh News & Observer.

Former School of Social Work faculty member John Cowart was featured in an article in The Atlantic magazine about his work helping soldiers struggling with the effects of military service.

The School of Social Work was mentioned in an article on Chapelboro.com about the School’s role in a joint research study on sexual violence with the UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health. The study, led by the UNC Injury Prevention Center with support from researchers at Children’s Home Society of North Carolina, is being funded by a $1.79 million federal grant.
