Faculty briefs

Assistant Professor Paul Lanier recently presented at the 20th National Conference on Child Abuse and Neglect in Washington, D.C. His presentation was titled “Predicting risk for maltreatment in home-visiting prevention programs: Comparing a cumulative risk index with a latent class approach.”

Clinical Assistant Professor Theresa Palmer recently conducted a presentation on “Microaggression as an Ethical Issue in Clinical Practice” for the Southern Regional AHEC. In August, Palmer also led a workshop on “Understanding Diverse Identities & Microaggression” for 75 incoming freshman through Wake Forest University’s Worldwide Wake program for students interested in cultural identity and intercultural communication.
