About 100 students in all sections of SOWO 810 presented their evaluation projects April 25-26 as part of the School of Social Work’s Annual Research Day. The professional conference-style poster presentation session celebrates the students’ efforts to evaluate a social work intervention within their field placement agencies. The event also showcases the impact that students are having in the community.
This year’s intervention evaluations addressed a variety of topics, including mental health training for elementary school teachers; parenting and leadership skills; maltreatment of incarcerated individuals, and foster care adoption. Associate Professor Gary Cuddeback, Assistant Professor Paul Lanier, Assistant Professor Amy Blank Wilson and Doctoral Student Todd Jensen led this year’s 810 classes.
