Free webinar June 24 will answer questions about Satir Clinical Program

The UNC School of Social Work is offering a week-long intensive clinical training program in the Satir Growth Model this summer.

The Satir method is based on the teachings of the late Virginia Satir, a social worker and “pioneer of family therapy.” It proposes a family communication paradigm, which was developed in the 1960s, and focuses on self-awareness and the discovery of inner strengths to help individuals, couples, and families better cope with stress and change and ways to create more positive relationships with others.

The 7-day training will be held at the School of Work from Sunday, July 26 to Saturday, August 1, 2015. This is a unique opportunity to participate in an intimate, small group intensive training session. 44 NBCC-approved credit hours are offered. Program fees are all-inclusive and cover tuition, hotel, transportation from hotel to campus, and most meals.

The summer 2015 session is limited to 25 participants. A $200 registration discount is available until June 26.

For more information and to register, visit the Satir Clinical Program website.
