Charlotte MSW ’01 class holds reunion

On Nov. 22, alumni from the UNC School of Social Work’s previous Charlotte Distance Education MSW Program held a reunion.

“Thanks to Facebook, we were able to get a group of people together to start planning the reunion,” said Megan Highsmith, who helped organize the event. “With the help of the School of Social Work, we were able to reach out to everyone in our class through either email or mail. Jaye Schissel hosted the event at her home in Charlotte. Dr. Katie Dunlap, who was the director of our Charlotte distance learning program, attended along with Natalie Conner, our former field advisor. We enjoyed a night of reminiscing about classes and catching up on where our MSWs have taken us in our career.”
