In the media: Holmes, McClinton

Hortense McClinton, School of Social Work faculty emerita, and the first African American professor at UNC, was featured on NPR on May 18 in a story entitled, “A First Black Professor Remembers Her Segregated Education.”

New MSW graduate Marbeth Holmes, MSW ’14, was featured in The Rocky Mount Telegram on May 9 for winning the School of Social Work’s Mary Jane Burns Book Award for Excellence in Clinical Social Work. Holmes is a professor at Nash Community College.
