Mitchell wins UNC’s Peer Recognition Award

Vanessa Mitchell was selected as winner of a 2012 Employee Forum Peer Recognition Award. She won in the Milestone category, which is for someone who has worked on campus for more than 20 years.

The purpose of the annual awards is to “thank [employees] so much for all you do to make Carolina the special place that it is for our students, faculty, staff and the people that we serve.”

Winners received a $35 prize and were honored at the Peer Recognition Awards Ceremony on May 31.

Mitchell, a computer support analyst, was nominated by UNC School of Social Work colleagues Beth Sauer and Linda Pridgen-Braswell.
