Substance Abuse Studies Certificates awarded at Carolina Inn luncheon

On May 8 at the Carolina Inn, the UNC School of Social Work honored students who have completed the requirements for the Certificate Program in Substance Abuse Studies with a luncheon and awards ceremony. Program director Worth Bolton and Dean Jack Richman presented the new graduates with their certificates.

In addition to completing their master’s program concentration requirements, graduates have completed 180 hours of substance abuse specific education, and a field placement focusing on addictions.

The 2012 graduates are: Ashley Brown, Jonathan Garner, Collen Jeske, Jennifer Logandro, Alice McMillan, Kibbe Newsome, Angela Nguyen, Jennifer Niles, Hawa Navarro, Lauren Primato, Allyson Stone, Sam Thorp, Dan Velez and Marlow Watson.
