The UNC School of Social Work is honored to have a second visiting scholar from China with us this semester.
Yan Ming is an associate professor in the Department of Sociology and Social Work, School of Political Science and Law at Capital Normal University in Beijing. She is sponsored by the Beijing municipal government as a visiting scholar to our School for six months.
Yan arrived in February and has been auditing courses on social work practice and services, observing field education, and conducting research with Professor Shenyang Guo on China projects. She also participated in a meeting last month when professors from East China Normal University visited our School to discuss potential international collaboration.
