“Living Person Centered” conference set for May 9-10

The Center for Aging Research and Educational Services (CARES), at the UNC School of Social Work, invites you to the 2012 Southeastern Regional Gathering for Person Centered Practices. It will be held at UNC’s William and Ida Friday Center for Continuing Education on May 9-10, 2012.

The 2012 Southeastern Regional Gathering for Person Centered Practices will provide an opportunity to share and learn more about Living Person Centered from one another and will include a plenary session, concurrent workshops, and networking opportunities.

Gathering topics will include Art and Healing, Community Guides, Participation, Maintaining Values During Change, Coaching, Coaching Support, as well as a Mentor Walk, World Cafe, and Learning Marketplace sessions.

The conference is aimed at human service professionals from the fields of aging, mental health, developmental disabilities, and families and children, as well as medical professionals.  Agencies and organizations implementing or simply intrigued by learning about person centered practices will all find something of interest.

The conference is sponsored by CARES, N.C. Department of Aging and Adult Services, and The Learning Community.
