John Weatherspoon, MSW ’95, ACSW, LCSW, was recently promoted to state director of home based services for Intercept Youth Services, Inc. in Virginia.
Since graduation he has served in many roles, including a child and family therapist, clinical supervisor, regional director for other family service agencies, and adjunct faculty with Radford University School of Social Work.
“My most rewarding roles since graduation include the time spent as a stay-at-home father and the moments I cherish now as a husband and father with my wife and two daughters,” Weatherspoon said.
“Please thank the faculty for their willingness and ability to share knowledge with students,” he added. “The education I received while at the School of Social Work and during the course of my internship through the social work department at UNC Hospital has been a guiding force in my career and life.”
