Pettus-Davis wins UNC’s Impact Award

Doctoral student Carrie Pettus-Davis has been selected to receive a Graduate Education Advancement Board Impact Award for her dissertation research.

Her intervention study, “Support Matters,” is a randomized controlled pilot trial of a social support intervention for recently released prisoners with substance use disorders.

The Impact Award is a very competitive award that is given by the UNC Graduate School’s external advancement board of private citizens and recognizes outstanding graduate student research of particular benefit to the citizens of North Carolina.
