Wiford and Butler present at national conference

The School of Social Work’s Behavioral Healthcare Resource Program (BHRP) was asked to present at the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) National Conference on Women, Addiction and Recovery. The conference, themed “Thriving in Changing Times,” was held in Chicago in July.

Clinical Associate Professor Cynthia Wiford and BHRP Consultant Laura Butler presented “Using Technology to Advance Women’s Treatment and Recovery.” They showcased many of the digital and web-based technologies currently in use by BHRP in its training, technical assistance and consultation projects; and some future technologies in development for use across the state by clinicians working in public addiction and mental health professions.
