Scheyett named chair of national committee on women’s issues

Anna Scheyett, Ph.D., MSW ’89, has been named chair of the National Association of Social Workers’ (NASW) National Committee on Women’s Issues, through June 30, 2012.

The Committee develops, reviews and monitors programs of the Association that significantly affect women; and makes recommendations on national and international issues affecting health, welfare, and the economic life of women.

Scheyett, the School’s associate dean for academic affairs, was elected to the NASW board of directors in July as the Region VI representative.
