Albritton receives fellowship for HIV research

Doctoral student Tashuna Albritton has been awarded a pre-doctoral fellowship from the “Training in Sexually Trasmitted Diseases and HIV” program. This NIH-funded program has been in existence at UNC for 33 years and is administered by the UNC Institute for Global Health and Infectious Diseases. It provides training opportunities in basic sciences research, clinical trials research, health behaviors and epidemiology research. Albritton, one of six pre-doctoral students selected for this fellowship, is the first social work doctoral student to receive this award.
