Cooke wins UNC award

Lane Cooke, program coordinator for the Family and Children’s Resource Program (FCRP) and clinical assistant professor in the School of Social Work, is the winner of UNC’s 2010 Outstanding Encouragement of Learning and Development Award, given by the Office of Human Resources.

Cooke received the award in recognition of her strong support of employees’ efforts toward education and training. She was nominated by FCRP staff and faculty.

The honor was presented at the University Managers Association’s annual meeting on May 27 in Dey Hall’s Toy Lounge. The guest speaker was Bruce Carney, executive vice chancellor and provost.
