Greeson accepts post-doc position at Duke

Johanna Greeson, Ph.D. ’09, has accepted a two-year post-doc position at the Duke University Dept. of Psychiatry with the National Center for Child Traumatic Stress.

The NCCTS was established by Congress in 2000 and is a unique collaboration of academic and community-based service centers whose mission is to raise the standard of care and increase access to services for traumatized children and their families across the United States.

Greeson will be working under the direction of Ernestine Briggs-King, Ph.D., a clinical psychologist, to primarily analyze the nationally representative NCCTS survey data and write papers, including ones assessing the efficacy of evidence-based interventions for child trauma (such as trauma-focused CBT, parent-child interaction therapy, child-parent psychotherapy). The data set also includes a fair number of foster care variables, so Greeson will be able to also pursue her own independent research questions.
