Washington awarded aging research fellowship

Doctoral student Tiffany Washington was awarded a predoctoral fellowship from the UNC Institute on Aging through its Carolina Program in Health and Aging Research. The program is supported by a National Research Service Award Institutional Training Grant from the National Institute on Aging. This is a very competitive program and Washington was awarded one of three open predoctoral fellowships.

In addition, Washington is presenting a poster at a National Kidney Foundation conference in Orlando this month. Her presentation is entitled “Chronic Kidney Disease and Older Adults: A Review and Implications for Social Work Practice and Research.”
