Murray-Lichtman announced as associate dean for MSW education 

School of Social Work Clinical Associate Professor Andrea Murray-Lichtman has been named the associate dean for MSW education after a national search.

Ramona Denby-Brinson, the dean of the School of Social Work, delivered the Carl A. Scott Memorial Lecture at the Council on Social Work Education’s 70th Annual Program Meeting in Kansas City, Mo., on Friday, Oct. 25.  

Ph.D. student Kenny Harris publishes paper on resiliency, role performance of military members 

Harris, along with Dean Emeritus Gary Bowen and UNC School of Education’s Todd Jensen, recently published an article examining the relationship between the social and psychological domains of fitness and resiliency within the military setting, as well as the effects of formal and informal support among service members.
