The 3-Year MSW Program offers a Winston-Salem option for students who live within commuting distance of Winston-Salem. Students in the 3-Year Winston-Salem MSW Program typically live and work in communities in the central and western part of North Carolina—including Greensboro, Charlotte, Asheville, and surrounding areas.
Interested applicants should select the 3-Year Winston-Salem MSW Program option when completing the School of Social Work application process. Applicants will be contacted to interview with the program director and another faculty member after they have submitted their application.

Please note that students in the 3-Year MSW Program — Winston-Salem option pay tuition and fees at the rate for “Off-Campus Programs” during the first and second years.
For the Winston-Salem option, classes in the first and second years are held at the Forsyth County Department of Social Services, Fifth Floor Classrooms, 741 N. Highland Avenue, Winston-Salem, N.C. Parking at the Forsyth County DSS building is convenient and free.
Classes in the third year are held on Mondays and/or Tuesdays at the UNC School of Social Work main building, Tate-Turner-Kuralt Building on the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill campus.
