Family Support Program publishes summer camp directory for children who have special needs

Summer camp is a wonderful adventure for many children, but traditional camps often don’t provide appropriate resources for children who have disabilities or special healthcare needs.
The Family Support Program (School of Social Work, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill) has identified day and residential summer camp experiences for these children and published “2018 Summer Camp Directory: A Free Resource Guide for Families with Children Who Have Special Needs.” The directory is available online at fsp.unc.edu/?q=summer-camp
For information about additional services and community resources for families with children who have special needs, you can call the Family Support Program at 800-852-0042.
