Upcoming information sessions planned for MSW and doctoral programs

The School of Social Work’s MSW and doctoral programs are hosting information sessions this month and next.
Individuals can learn more about the MSW program on Monday, Nov. 20 from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.; Friday, Dec. 1 from 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 6 from noon to 1 p.m. and Monday, Dec. 18 from 10 a.m. to noon. Information sessions give potential applicants a chance to meet some of the faculty, staff and students and to ask questions about the School of Social Work.

The Dec. 6 session will be a virtual information session hosted by the recruitment, admissions and financial aid team and will focus on the MSW application process and financial aid. Space is limited. The remaining sessions will be held in Room 300 of the Tate Turner Kuralt Building, 325 Pittsboro Street, Chapel Hill.

Individuals interested in the School’s Ph.D. program are encouraged to attend an information session on Friday, Dec. 1, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. This session will be hosted at the School of Social Work in Room 101.

These information sessions offer prospective students the chance to learn more about the doctoral program admissions process and requirements, program curricula and program strengths, and how to become a competitive applicant. In addition, session attendees will receive information about financial aid and have an opportunity to meet doctoral program faculty members.
