In the media: Richman, Roberts-Lewis, Irby, Kranbuehl, Misz, Rawlings

Dean Jack Richman was quoted was in a story on alumnus Bob Hensley‘s retirement, in the Daily Courier (Forest City, N.C.) on June 20.

The School of Social Work’s MSW/MDiv dual degree program with Duke University was featured in the University Gazette on June 24 and as a spotlight story on UNC’s home page. The story features students Dustin Rawlings, Jon-Erik Misz and Kennetra Irby; and faculty member Amelia Roberts-Lewis.

Karen Kranbuehl, a student in our Triangle MSW Program, wrote an editorial that was published in the News & Observer on June 22, “NC allows dangerous discrimination against LGBT victims of domestic violence.” The column was based on an assignment in her Law and Social Work course in the first summer session. Kranbuehl, an attorney, is a volunteer at Interact of Wake County, the agency that serves victims of domestic violence and sexual assault.
