Alumni Update: Gauthier-Miller ’06, James ’81

Kathleen Gauthier-Miller, MSW ’06, was recognized by the Charlotte Business Journal as a 2012 Excellence in Health Care honoree, at a Sept. 28 event held at the Ritz-Carlton. She received the award for the “Senior Saturday” program developed for Presbyterian Huntersville Hospital. Gauthier-Miller is a social worker with Lakeside Family Physicians, and lives in Huntersville N.C., with her husband of 16 years and three children.

Trent James, MSW ’81, is a professor of Sociology and Social Work at Gordon College in Wenham, Mass. The University of Massachusetts Press recently published his book, The Manliest Man: Samuel G. Howe and the Contours of 19th Century American Reform (2012).
