New Social Work Group Work chapter forms

North Carolina has a new chapter of the International Association for Social Work with Groups. The chapter will be bringing practitioners and faculty together to focus on group formation, methods, facilitation, evaluation and all the triumphs and challenges associated with running groups.

“We are very excited to finally have a North Carolina Chapter and we have a lot of great ideas for future activities. But in order to make this a successful, thriving chapter we need more members and energy,” said Anne Jones, chapter chair. “We want to meet the needs of the community of practitioners who are doing groups and provide venues for them to bring their experiences, challenges, and successes to share with others.”
