Recruitment and admissions update

  • The UNC SSW will be a featured exhibitor at the 33rd Annual UNC Minority Health Conference on Fri., Feb. 24 at the UNC William C. Friday Center. The conference attracts more than 500 students, faculty, researchers, health professionals, and community leaders from around the nation each year. It provides a forum for researchers and practitioners to tackle the issues facing minority populations with the hopes of improving the health status of those communities. The theme for this year’s conference, “Translational Research: The Road from Efficacy to Equity,” highlights the importance of translating scientific discoveries into effective strategies and policies intended to eliminate health disparities.   • The UNC SSW will also be recruiting at the 29th Annual Association of Baccalaureate Social Work Program Directors (BPD) Conference in Portland, Oregon, March 14 – 18. More information.
