Debbie Barrett‘s play “Oh Baby!”, was performed in Cary by Free Association Theatre Ensemble on April 29 & 30, and May 5-7. “Oh Baby!” is a cycle of personal stories that interweave into a larger narrative, portraying the hopes, joys, anxiety, and grief that can be associated with becoming a parent. The play attracted extensive media coverage, including: NBC-17 TV interview on Carolina Today, Cary Citizen, Social Workers Speak, News & Observer, and Cary News.

Michal Grinstein-Weiss is quoted in an AOL Daily Finance story, “‘Money Doesn’t Grow On Trees,’ and Other Financial Lessons From Mom,” about her study that shows that what parents teach their children about money early in their lives will affect their credit scores and loan delinquency rates as adults.

Barbara Leach of the School’s Family Support Program was interviewed on the television show, “Speak Up Speak Out” on public access cable station 10 in Raleigh, about the “PREParation for Emergencies and Recovery: Supporting Individuals with Developmental Disabilities and Their Families” project.
