Professor Iris Carlton-LaNey, Ph.D. is the recipient of the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE)’s 2011 Feminist Scholarship Award.
This award was established by CSWE’s Women’s Council to recognize innovative scholars who contribute to the advancement of feminist knowledge as it pertains to social work theory, research, practice, and education.
The program honors an accomplished scholar whose work has contributed to social work practice, policy, and research that focuses on the intersections of gender and social justice. It also recognizes an innovative paper that contributes to the advancement of feminist knowledge as it pertains to social work theory, research, practice, and education.
Carlton-LaNey will be formally honored at CSWE’s annual program meeting, Oct. 27-30 in Atlanta.
