Congratulations to the recipients of the 2011 Jane H. Pfouts research grants. This fund awards grants to School of Social Work faculty members to support small-scale or pilot, early-stage research related to practice theory and/or current practice issues.
- Dr. Iris Carlton-LaNey: $3,400 for “An Examination of African American Adoption Agencies: Models for Contemporary Practice”
- Dr. Rebecca Macy and Dania Ermentrout: $3,000 for “Legally-Involved Partner Violence Survivors and Substance Use: Improving Intervention Research Data-Collection Strategies”
- Dr. Betsy Bledsoe and doctoral student Candace Killian: $2,900 for “A Complex Problem: Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis of Interventions for Adolescents Coping with Complex Trauma”
- Joanne Caye received a Pfouts Award earlier this year: $2,260 for “Developing Appropriate Interventions With Low Literacy Hispanics Who Are Learning English and Preparing to Become Citizens.”
