Dr. Quiling An is a visiting professor in the School of Social Work this year. She is a social work faculty member at East China Normal University in Shanghai. Her interests are in adolescent behavior and practice.
“While I am at UNC-Chapel Hill, my work will mainly focus on the following points,” says An.
“First, I will be further studying social work theory systematically and tracking the academic frontier, such as audit some courses and take part in academic salon and conferences in the domain of social work.
Second, I’d like to enrich my field practice experience. I hope to visit where social work students get their field training and attend the group discussions with supervisors.
Third, I hope that I could facilitate the cooperation and communication between ECNU and UNC. I’d like to talk with professors who have an interest in the tendency of social work education and practice in China.”
