B. Avery Hall, MSW ’91, died unexpectedly at age 65 at her home on July 28.
She taught school in South Carolina and Virginia before becoming a North Carolina state probation officer. Later she served as a United States probation officer in North Carolina, the first female officer in the district.
After receiving her MSW, she worked as a private psychotherapist and as a psychiatric social worker for UNC Hospital until she retired.
