Theresa Palmer, MSW ’98, has joined the School of Social Work as a clinical instructor. She fills a newly-created position, coordinator of field education for our Winston-Salem Distance Education MSW Program. Palmer will conduct field advising and place students in field settings, develop field placement sites, train field instructors and teach courses.
Palmer has taught for the Winston-Salem program since 2007, and has been working part-time since January 2010 building field placement capacity as the program grows. She is a graduate of the School of Social Work’s distance education program, when it was located in Charlotte.
“I am delighted to add Theresa to our team in Winston-Salem,” said Tina Souders, program director. “She brings over 18 years of social work experience and extensive knowledge of human service agencies that we will draw upon to enhance our field education program.”
Palmer resides in Winston-Salem with her husband Jonathan Berry.
