In this session, Micki Lilly, Executive Director of the North Carolina Social Work Certification and Licensure Board was on campus to explain the process of obtaining multiple NC licenses, as well as to answer student questions. In this session, Jacquelyn Gist, MSW, Assistant Director of University Career Services is joined with three recent alumni, Alecia Slade, MSW; Allison Sanders, MSW; and Sarah Herndon, MSW to discuss the interview process from beginning to end. Panelists address the importance of interview etiquette, offer tips on questions to expect and ways to best answer them effectively.  This video responds to student questions and will give viewers practical information on how to put your best foot forward during (and after) your job interviews!

Finding a Job in Community Based Mental Health Services

Creating a Professional Portfolio

Part 1: This video includes a brief introduction from Sherry Mergner, Clinical Assistant Professor and Area Health Education Center (AHEC) Liaison. The UNC-CH, School of Social Work AHEC Training Partnership is a collaborative effort with the North Carolina Area Health Education Centers Program (NCAHEC) to meet the educational and career needs of the state’s mental health professionals. The majority of this video is of Dr. Sarah Naylor, Assistant Dean of Student Affairs.
