Clinical Supervision in Substance Abuse Services has become even more challenging given the nature and extent of changes occurring in our State system. There is a shortage of Certified Clinical Supervisors in many parts of our State to provide initial and ongoing supervision. Clinical supervision is a needed and critical component of good clinical care.
The Behavioral Healthcare Resource Program offers a training series on Clinical Supervision of Substance Abuse Services that will focus on evidence-based practice in Clinical Supervision that also recognizes the constraints and conditions under which today Clinical Supervisors must operate. A primary feature of the 2011 training will be TIP #52, Clinical Supervisions and Professional Development of the Substance Abuse Counselor, combined with pertinent aspects of the systematic changes occuring in community-based services.
Attendance at this training will meet the required 30 training hours for the Certified Clinical Supervisor Credential of the NCSAPPB. (If you're already certified, you may wish to attend specific sessions for your 15 re-cert training hours.)
Course Instructor: L. Worth Bolton, MSW, LCAS, CCS. He brings over 30 years of clinical experience to this training from a variety of settings and modalities in the field of addiction.
Requirement: You MUST have an LCAS to participate in these trainings.
