Preferred Characteristics of Children in Need of Adoption: Is There a Demand for Available Foster Children? slides notes
This lecture summarizes the findings of research conducted to discover the preferences of Caucasian adoptive parents regarding race, age, and special needs of children. The lecture discusses policy issues, as well as the need to identify and target families willing to adopt children of color, older children, and children with special needs.
