Field Placement
Students typically complete their field placement in their home community. Students must complete two field practicums while enrolled in the program. The first practicum, foundation, is completed during the second year of study and the second practicum, concentration, is completed during the third year of study. Staff from our Field Education Department and faculty advisors meet with students to discuss their learning objectives and career goals prior to field placement. Students are matched with agencies and field instructors based on learning objectives. Field placement in a student's employing agency requires special arrangements and approval from the Field Education director.
