Advanced Standing Program
The Advanced Standing Program is for students who have graduated from an accredited BSW program. Orientation and classes typically begin the 2nd week of May, following the university's registrar calendar. Advanced standing students enroll in the summer, taking two courses (13 credit hours):
- SoWo 715: Advanced Standing Bridge Course (6 credit hours)
- SoWo 510: Evidence-based Practice and Program Evaluation (3 credit hours)
- SoWo 522: Advanced Standing Practicum (4 credit hours)
The remaining 27 hours are completed in the Advanced Curriculum in the student's chosen concentration. Advanced standing students meet the same distributional requirements as full-time and distance education students
