Tobacco Treatment Specialist, full time

Overview and Qualifications

Job Summary: Provides cessation interviews, tobacco prevention education programs and supports services of ongoing community efforts to decrease tobacco use.

 

Required Education: Bachelors Degree and/or Certified Substances Abuse Counselors. Bachelors in Public Health or RRT/CRTT/RN/LPN. Certified with American Lung Association's Freedom from Smoking, Tobacco Addiction or Tobacco Treatment Certification to be obtained within one year

Preferred Education: Master of Social Work

Required License: Must have and maintain a current license for above listed disciplines.

Preferred License: LCSW

Required Experience: One year in Tobacco Addiction and Cessation and/or one year in Substance Abuse Counseling.

Preferred Experience: Two years in Tobacco Addiction and Cessation and one year in Substance Abuse Counseling.
